Five players Arsenal could turn to after missing out on Mudryk transfer to Chelsea including Raphinha and Zaha
ARSENAL lost out on signing Mykhailo Mudryk after Chelsea hijacked Mikel Arteta’s move for the Ukrainian ace.
The Gunners’ hunt for a new winger will continue after Mudryk joined the Blues in a deal worth up to £97million.
Mudryk was the No1 priority for Arsenal this month.
But the Gunners pulled out of a transfer when Shakhtar started driving the price higher amid interest from Chelsea.
Personal terms with Mudryk had already been agreed, although he will now earn more than double what Arsenal were offering him.
Signing a winger remains a priority for Mikel Arteta, and here SunSport run through five players he could turn to after missing out on Mudryk.
Reports in Spain claim the Gunners have already reignited their interest in Raphinha, having been linked with the Brazilian in the summer.
In the end he joined Barcelona from Leeds in a deal worth £57m.
But Arsenal have allegedly enquired about Raphinha’s availability to the cash-strapped Catalans.
Crystal Palace talisman Wilfried Zaha is out of contract at the end of the current season.
The 30-year-old has been linked with Arsenal in the past, and is available on a free transfer if he does not extend his deal at Selhurst Park.
Zaha has netted six goals and provided two assists in 17 Premier League games for Palace this season.
Belgian winger Leandro Trossard looks set to leave Brighton after being dropped by boss Roberto De Zerbi due to attitude problems.
The 28-year-old has been linked with Tottenham, but Arsenal are also believed to be monitoring his situation.
Trossard has netted an impressive seven goals and laid on three assists in 16 Prem appearances this campaign.
The Gunners could give Chelsea a taste of their own medicine by hijacking the Blues’ swoop for Noni Madueke.
The Stamford Bridge side are alleged to have made an offer to sign Madueke from PSV Eindhoven.
England youth international Madueke, 20, is highly rated by the Dutch outfit.
The Gunners were linked with a £60million swoop for Moussa Diaby in the summer.
Newcastle are another team rumoured to be interested in his signature.
Diaby, 23, has impressed this season for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring six goals and registering three assists in 15 Bundesliga games.
He also netted twice in the Champions League.
