She wrote: “Word of advice to the men out there. If you’re going to write a mean, nasty comment about me at least delete your DM asking me out first. You’re giving me mixed messages lol.”

What exactly the troll said wasn’t clear but the golf glamour puss wasn’t taking it sitting down.

And she has powerful social media platforms to strike back. Spiranac has more than 761,000 followers on Twitter along with millions more on Instagram.

Her fans quickly jumped to her defend her honour.

One wrote: “I’m so sorry. Sometimes I’m embarrassed to be a male.”

Another wrote: “Paige this is an early candidate for tweet of the year.”

A third fan offered: “Don’t listen to the haters. Keep doing your thing!”

A fourth added: “Great tip. Seems kinda obvious but apparently not to everyone.”

Meanwhile, the former golf pro took to video to outline her wish list of five things she hopes for in 2023.

No. 1 was the future of links legend Tiger Woods and how many majors he’ll take part in. For pick No. 5, Spiranac selected the Waste Management Phoenix Open that will be held on Super Bowl weekend.

She said: “It’s gonna be fun.”

We apologize, but this video has failed to load.

For her fourth pick, she picked Netflix’s upcoming golf docu-series Full Swing, which debuts Feb. 15. For No. 3, she pegged the Masters, her favourite golf tourney. She’s predicting Rory McIlroy will wear the green jacket.

And finally, in second place, the future of the renegade, controversial Saudi-backed LIV Golf loop. Spiranac earlier told the rebel golfers: “You wanted the money, now stay there.”

In other sports predictions this year, Spiranac picked the Boston Bruins to win the Stanley Cup, the Philadelphia Eagles to capture the Super Bowl, an NBA title for the Brooklyn Nets.

So far, there are no World Series predictions.
