Samsung brings December 2022 security update to Galaxy Z Flip4, Z Fold4 in the US


Samsung has started rolling out the December 2022 Android security patch for a handful of its Galaxy smartphones. The South Korean technology company has released the security update to the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 series in the US. The update also brings the December 2022 security patch.
According to a report by Sammobile, the software update for the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 comes with firmware version number F721USQU1BVL9. The update also brings the December 2022 security patch and is accessible on Comcast’s and Xfinity Mobile’s networks.

On the other hand, the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Fold with the firmware version F936USQU1BVL7 is also available on Comcast’s and Xfinity Mobile’s networks.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 sports a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED cover display. The handset, when unfolded, has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display with 2640 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and supports an adaptive refresh rate that varies between 1Hz and 120Hz based on the content being viewed.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 packs a 3700mAh battery and supports Super Fast charging which claims to deliver up to 50 per cent charge in under 30 minutes.
The smartphone was launched with Android 12 OS topped with the company’s own layer of One UI 4.1 onboard.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 sports a 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display with a 2316 X 904 pixels resolution. The smartphone offers a 48Hz and 120Hz refresh rate.
Once unfolded, the device turns into a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display. The phone offers a 120Hz refresh rate and supports Adaptive refresh rate that varies between 1Hz and 120Hz. The display also supports the S Pen stylus for writing notes and other activities.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is powered by the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset coupled with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and offers upto 1TB of storage. The handset comes in two variants– 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB.

The smartphone comes with a pack of five cameras where three sensors are placed on the rear and two on the front. The handset packs a triple rear camera setup that includes– 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 10MP 3X telephoto zoom lens. The front camera features a 10MP sensor while the under-display unit houses a 4MP sensor.
Samsung Galaxy Fold4 was launched with Android 12OS topped with the company’s own layer of OneUI 4.1. UI onboard.
The smartphone is backed by a 4400mAh battery with 25W charging support.
