LOOKING for an all inclusive-style holiday without kids that doesn’t include flying to a different country?

Booze is extra, but but most other bits are included at Warner Leisure hotels – like breakfasts, dinners, theatres, pools, entertainment and sports.

The holiday company has frozen prices on breaks between April and August.

The best prices we’ve found are two-night stays from £149pp, and three-night holidays from £249pp.

Give your tip on where to go in Great Yarmouth – you could win £100 for Amazon

Additionally, some holidays can even be booked with £35pp deposits.

Warner Leisure hotels are located in a variety of seaside resorts and rural manors in popular UK spots, so there’s something for everyone.

Holidaymakers also get access to all sports and leisure facilities and activities throughout every break.

Events hosted by the hotels include dance classes, quizzes, history and garden tours, and concerts.

But it doesn’t end there, as most staycations are themed. The two main themed breaks that are offered this year are “Re-mixed” and “Late & Live.”

During the’ Re-mixed’ breaks, you can spend many hours on the dance floor and enjoy live music every night.

During the day, you might take part in dance classes and competitions, unwind in the spa, or watch a movie.

6 underrated cities in the UK

While breakfasts and evening dinners are served later, the ‘Late & Live’ breaks provide a similar atmosphere.

During the day, you might stroll through the gardens, relax by the pool, or indulge in spa services.

Additionally, late-night DJs and vocalists will be making the dance floor home at night.

However, if you’d prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, you could always go for a live acoustic set or a movie night.

Since the availability is constantly changing with the sale, we’ve rounded them up by length and location:

This year, the hotel chain has launched exclusive Strictly Come Dancing staycations, with live dance lessons from the professionals (although these are excluded from the discounts).

There will also be meet & greets to speak to some of your dance idols and take pictures.

For more UK deals, we’ve found staycations with hot tubs that won’t break the bank in Dorset, Norfolk and Lake District.

We also rounded up five top-rated UK holiday parks on TripAdvisor – with lazy river pools, adventure villages and nearby beaches.

And revealed how to find the cheapest Travelodge hotel room deals, with prices from £7pp a night.

    Best staycation locations for 2024

    1. Bristol

The arty harbour city was the top spot on the list and is bursting with culture and trendy cafes scattered along the River Avon.

A bubbling hub for creatives, Bristol is the birthplace of street artist Banksy, and you can admire some of his best early works on a free walking tour.

    2. Hull

The Humberside port city started to get recognition last year, and it has a thriving nightlife scene – if that’s something you’re after.

The old town is crawling with history and classy buildings, whose walls have many stories to tell and The Deep is a fascinating aquarium attraction.

    3. Isles of Scilly

Just off the Cornish coast, it’s easy to see why the archipelago made it into the top three.

Here, you can expect golden sandy beaches where you will be able to spot dolphins beyond the shoreline, as well as seafront pubs serving up hearty grub.

An employee who swapped his UK apartment for a five-star all-inclusive hotel in Turkey for a month – because he discovered it would be cheaper than his home life in the UK – said he had been ‘living a dream’ and could happily move there full-time.

Josh Kerr, 24, spent 28 days at the Port River Hotel and Spa in Antalya on a trip that cost £944 compared to the £950 per month he pays for rent and bills at his Manchester pad.

Returning home on Saturday, he said he would trade his flat for permanent hotel living if he could work abroad full-time, despite missing bacon and Irn-Bru in Turkey.

During his stay, the creative strategist worked remotely from the hotel, logging into his laptop in the ‘blazing sunshine’ and spending his lunchbreaks dipping in the pool, playing table tennis or stopping by the beach for a quick game of football.

‘The first few days, it didn’t even feel real,’ he told MailOnline Travel.

Josh Kerr spent one month living and working from a five-star all-inclusive resort in Antalya, Turkey, which he said was cheaper than rent and bills at his flat in Manchester. Here, he is pictured exploring the coastline

Josh checked into the Port River Hotel and Spa, pictured, in February and stayed for 28 days

‘It’s a premium way of living, for such a cheap cost. The fact I didn’t have to cook a thing in the past month was amazing. My apartment also doesn’t have five pools for me to take a lunchtime dip in. Thinking about it, I need to get myself back to Turkey ASAP.’

Josh said it ‘was a sad one’ packing for his flight home on Saturday and he didn’t want to leave the 20C weather after hearing the rain forecast in Manchester.

The first thing he did when he got home was ‘whip up a full English brekkie’ as he said ‘pork isn’t served in Turkey so I was absolutely craving a bit of bacon by the end’.

Josh worked remotely from the hotel, logging into his laptop in the 'blazing sunshine'

However, he was anything but lacking in food at the resort where breakfast, lunch and dinner were included in his stay.

‘The all-inclusive was amazing, you’d just be able to get anything you want, anytime you wanted it,’ Josh said.

‘There were so many options that I just kept changing up what I had to eat every day.

However, the best thing was definitely the rotisserie chicken and gravy – made me feel right at home.’

He also adopted a local tradition that he hopes to continue back at home.

‘Anywhere I go I always try and embrace the local culture, and in Turkey it’s culture to have a Turkish tea after every single meal,’ he said.

‘By the end of our trip we were drinking that stuff more than the locals, it became part of our routine too. I’ve already started looking at Turkish tea pots now.’

Josh was invited on the trip by On the Beach after he shared the price of a one-month hotel stay on TikTok and pointed out that it was cheaper than his rent.

Bosses at the online travel agent got in touch and challenged Josh to do it after his clip went viral, racking up more than a million views in 24 hours.

He checked in on February 17 and spent the weekend exploring the area before continuing his normal work routine from the hotel on weekdays.

He got to experience the water slides and take dips in the pool during his lunch breaks

Describing a typical day of hotel living, he said: ‘Every day kicked off with breakfast, a glass of orange juice and then some eggs on toast was my usual.

‘But with Turkey being three hours ahead of the UK, I had so many options as to how I’d go about our day.

‘I had to work UK hours and flexi-time allowed me to start anytime between 7am and 9.30am, which meant the latest we could start work would be 12.30pm. So some days we’d get up early and go out and explore the local towns and some of their markets. Other days we’d just dive straight into work.

‘I’d always be logging into work in the sun, and staying there until my laptop died. It’s safe to say anyone on a Teams call with me hated me for the past month as they saw me sitting in the blazing sunshine.’

The only downsides for Josh were paying to use the hotel's laundry service and braving the cold water of the outdoor swimming pool, above, during his winter stay

During the evenings, Josh enjoyed exploring the nearby town of Side, relaxing with a cocktail at the hotel bar and the occasional visit to the hotel’s nightclub.

His highlights were having access to ‘any food you want any time’ – favouring Turkish mezze, bread and dips in particular – and never having to clean his room, thanks to the hotel’s daily housekeeping service.

And he was pleasantly surprised by the amount of culture and history in the area, with ‘ancient ruins more than 2,000 years old just a 10-minute walk away’.

The only downsides were paying for the hotel’s laundry service to wash his clothes and braving the cold water of the swimming pool.

‘Because it’s wintertime, the outside pools were like an ice bath, so I had to channel my inner Wim Hof,’ Josh said.

‘But even that wasn’t an issue as they had a heated indoor pool if I wanted a quick dip. Another minor problem was that the juices weren’t freshly squeezed and were more like cordials – but as I say, very minor.’

The advantage of visiting off-season was that the hotel was ‘not too crowded’ but ‘a nice level of busy’.

Summing up the experience, Josh said it was ‘incredible’ and that he is already planning his next one-month hotel stay in Vegas.

What’s more, he said it’s ‘fairly accessible to anyone who has the ability to work from anywhere’.

He added: ‘You could put your flat or home on a rental site and, given the prices city centre flats go for in the UK, for a weekend stay, you could use this money to pay for your travel.

‘If you would keep switching countries every month, it would be amazing. Going country hopping, experiencing different five-star hotels.

‘There would obviously be home comforts that you’d miss but you’d make up for it with new cultures to dive right into.’

A significant swath of Americans now expect to spend almost 40 years in retirement, with about 1 in 8 workers planning to stop working before they turn 61. At the same time, most workers say they want to live until they’re 100.

That means some workers are eyeballing a four-decade retirement, an ambitious goal that comes with serious downsides. Among them: How to fund almost 40 years of retirement at a time when most workers are far from reaching their savings goals.

The findings, from a recent survey from financial services firm Corebridge Financial, underscore the gap between Americans’ lofty dreams for their golden years versus their financial realities. The median retirement savings balance for people who are between 55 to 64 — just years from potentially stepping back from work — is $185,000, according to NerdWallet.

“100 is a very long and fulfilling life, and that’s pretty optimistic and great to see,” Bryan Pinsky, president of individual retirement at Corebridge Financial, told CBS MoneyWatch. “That optimism and hope does come with a little bit of tension — only 27% are very or extremely confident that they won’t outlive their retirement savings.”

In fact, the survey, which polled about 2,300 adults, found that only about 4 in 10 respondents believe their savings will last 20 years in retirement, suggesting that while more Americans want a three- or four-decade retirement, few expect they’ll have funds that will stretch that long.

The rule of thumb for retirement savings is to draw down 4% of one’s retirement assets each year. That means someone with $185,000 saved in a 401(k) will have annual income of $7,400 from their savings — hardly a big cushion, especially if one needs extra medical care or assisted living in old age.

Even more troubling are the 3 in 10 Americans over 59 years old who don’t have a penny saved for retirement. Those workers are likely to spend decades in old age surviving solely on Social Security, a plan that’s geared to replace only a portion of one’s working income. The typical retiree on Social Security receives $22,800 annually from the program — above the poverty line, but hardly enough to fund a cushy retirement.

Only about 10% of Americans between the ages of 62 and 70 are both retired and financially stable, Teresa Ghilarducci, a professor at The New School for Social Research in New York and a retirement expert, recently told CBS MoneyWatch. Increasingly, her research has found, many seniors need to return to work to earn extra money despite being “retired.”

    The realities of longevity risk

Longevity risk is a cornerstone of retirement planning that few Americans understand, Stanford University expert Annamaria Lusardi told CBS MoneyWatch last year. This issue involves understanding how long you’re likely to live once you hit retirement age, with many Americans underestimating this figure — and therefore failing to sock away enough money to support themselves.

On the other hand, workers who believe they’ll live until 100 might be motivated to stash away more money for their retirement years.

How to maximize retirement savings by minimizing taxes

    03:38

Interestingly, Gen Z, the youngest generation in the workforce, is also the most optimistic about reaching their centennial anniversaries, with about 63% saying they want to reach the milestone. That’s about 10 percentage points higher than baby boomers or Gen X.

That could explain why Gen Z is taking retirement more seriously than older generations did at their age. About 3 in 10 Gen Zers (who are between 11 to 26 years old) currently have a 401(k) or IRA, compared with 1 in 10 Gen Xers when they were the same age in 1989, according to a recent study from the Investment Company Institute.

How to fund a 40-year retirement

Asked how to fund a retirement that can stretch almost 40 years, Pinsky noted that it’s important for workers to start saving. And he encouraged workers to visit a financial planner or expert who can help them devise a retirement plan.

“What is most important is recognizing whatever your retirement plan is, you need to revisit it on a regular basis,” he added.

That’s good advice for people who have access to employer-sponsored retirement plans, but experts like Ghilarducci point out that the U.S. retirement system is failing millions of Americans. For one, many workers lack access to 401(k)s and other employer-sponsored matches, especially people who are gig workers, low-wage employees or unpaid caretakers for family members.

Saving early is key, given the power of compound interest, but many young workers are strapped by student loans and the high cost of living and thus may not feel able to set away funds.

To be sure, millions of workers retire every year, even if they don’t have the $1.8 million that Americans say they need to retire comfortably. But retirement is increasingly something enjoyed by the rich, with Ghilarducci’s research finding that low-income workers typically spend about 12 years in retirement, while the rich spend about 20 years in retirement.

A fascinating map reveals how bears, wolves and lynx are spread throughout Europe and their proximity to holiday hotspots.

For thousands of years, the land predators have lived throughout the continent from Eastern pockets in Poland and Romania to Italy, France and Spain.

Today, some of their habitats lie closer to tourist destinations than visitors might realise. And a recent bear attack, which left two people hospitalised in the Slovakian town of Liptovský Mikuláš on March 15, has drawn attention to their presence.

Find out how close your favourite European holiday spot is to bears, wolves and lynx using MailOnline Travel’s interactive map below, based on data from the Large Carnivore Initiative for Europe (LCIE).

    Brown bears

Up to 18,000 brown bears live in 22 countries across Europe, according to the LCIE, citing data from 2016.

France and Spain are among popular holiday destinations that have growing brown bear populations. This includes Spain’s Cantabrian Mountains which has between 321 and 335, and the French Pyrenees, which is home to 30.

The animals, which can weigh up to 50st (320kg), are also found in a pocket of the Alps which covers Austria, Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland. Here, the population is between 45 and 69.

Europe is home to up to 18,000 brown bears spread among 22 countries

The largest population (7,360) is found in the Carpathian Mountains of Poland, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia.

While the furthest-reaching group is the ‘Dinaric-Pindos’ (3,950) which stretches across Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia.

    Wolves

Europe is home to around 17,000 wolves which are spread across nine populations in 27 countries. Pictured here is a wolf in Czech Republic

Some 17,000 wolves are spread throughout Europe, according to the LCIE, with nine populations across 27 countries – more than half of Europe’s 44.

Growing numbers prowl the Central European lowlands of Germany and Poland, which is home to between 780 and 1,030 wolves, as well as the Alps of Austria, France, Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland (420 to 550).

Like for brown bears, the Carpathian Mountains has a healthy population of wolves (3,460 to 3,849). But unlike the bears, this extends to Czech Republic and Slovakia as well as Poland, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia.

The largest wolf population is the Dinaric-Balkan group (around 4,000) which is found across Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia.

Other groups include those in northwest Spain and Portugal (estimated at 2,500 in 2007), Finland (around 200) and Norway and Sweden (around 430).

Europe is home to 8,000 to 9,000 lynx, spread across 11 groups in 21 countries, LCIE data shows.

The predators, which feed on animals such as deer, birds and sheep, are mostly found in Finland which is home to a stable population of 2,500.

Like with bears and wolves, a large population is found in the Carpathian Mountains (2,100 to 2,400) of Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine.

Other groups include the Scandinavian lynx found in Norway and Sweden (1,300 to 1,800), the Jura lynx found in France and Switzerland (140) and the Baltic lynx in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine (1,200 to 1,500).

The only two growing populations are found in Germany’s Harz Mountains (46) and the Alpine region of Austria, France, Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland (163).

LOOKING for some Easter holiday activities without the crowds?

Luckily, the best hidden gem attraction in the UK has been revealed – and it’s in the heart of a bustling city.

Recent research from Bounce, a luggage storage company, has revealed TripAdvisor’s best hidden gem attractions in the UK, with a National Trust site in Birmingham nabbing the top spot.

According to the experts, Birmingham Back to Backs soared to first place with a 5/5 star rating from more than 4,000 reviews on the platform.

Give your tip on where to go in Great Yarmouth – you could win £100 for Amazon

To be more specific, 98 per cent of visitors rated Birmingham Back to Backs as either “excellent” or “very good” in their reviews.

One person wrote: “A fantastic insight into the social history of Birmingham.

“Our guide Dave really was brilliant, with lived experience of the Back to Backs, he really brought it to life.”

Another person added: “We had a fantastic time visiting here. The tour was really immersive and interesting.

“A big shout out to our tour guide John, who was a great source of knowledge and involved each visitor into the storytelling.”

Located on Hurst Street, just a stone’s throw from the Birmingham Hippodrome and the Chinese Quarter, the Back to Backs are well regarded among locals.

As someone who grew up in Birmingham, I’ve visited the Back to Backs a handful of times with my family and on school trips – and its appeal never gets old.

Built in the 19th Century, Birmingham Back to Backs are the city’s last surviving example of back-to-back houses.

The tiny terraced houses were literally built back-to-back around a communal courtyard in a bid to house the growing population in 19th and 20th century.

Nearly 200 years after they were first built, the Back to Backs are now a National Trust site.

Entry into the Back to Backs is only possible with a guided tour, with tickets costing £9 for a full-paying adult and £4.50 for a child.

On the tour, visitors will learn about the lives of some of the former residents who lived in the small brick buildings.

The buildings are decorated with everyday objects, including tins, scales and other artefacts from the past, while a toy pram and a skateboard have been left in the courtyard.

Birmingham Back to Backs also houses the only collection of work by a Caribbean tailor in the UK.

George operated a successful tailor’s shop from the Back to Backs for many years, and he left some of his items to the National Trust to preserve this last living link to the houses.

Several other hidden gem attractions across the UK also made the list, including the Victoria Tunnel in Newcastle, which also scored 98 per cent in the reviews.

The underground wagonway, which was once used to transport coal, runs all the way from the Town Moor down to the River Tyne.

Meanwhile, the National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield nabbed third place.

With guided tours around the Back to Backs lasting around two hours, visitors to the city are left with plenty of time to explore other attractions, including Bournville.

    Bournville

Located in southwest Birmingham, Bournville is a tiny village that was built by the Cadbury family.

While the model village may sound fairly idyllic, it isn’t without its quirks.

Because of its Quaker heritage, there are no pubs in Bournville, so those residents, and tourists, who fancy a swift drink need to visit boozers in other parts of Birmingham, like Selly Oak and Stirchley.

Bournville is also home to Cadbury World – the famous chocolate that’s to open several new rides and attractions, just in time for Easter.

Birmingham is also a stone’s throw from popular UK days out like Warwick Castle and Stratford Upon Avon – both of which are accessible via train from Birmingham Moor Street station.

Meanwhile, I’ve also revealed the best of Birmingham’s hidden gems – including a secret garden and the UK’s best curry.

Slovakian bear hunters have vowed to tonight capture and kill the rampaging beast that has left at least five injured, but residents are begging them to let the animal live.

The town of Liptovský Mikuláš earlier declared a state of emergency after a 10-year-old girl became the latest victim in a spate of bear attacks – with patrols ordered to ‘eliminate’ the predator on sight.

Now, a bold sign has been erected by the city police that urges residents to stay out of the old road area between Iľanova and Závažná Poruba this afternoon and evening.

‘The road is temporarily closed and because of bear hunting there is a high risk to life,’ the sign reads.

The capture of the bear will be carried out using firearms, Liptovský Mikuláš’ official town website states.

‘In case of disobedience, people will be exposed to a high risk of endangering their lives,’ it adds.

A sign has been erected in Liptovský Mikuláš warning residents to stay out of the area as officials prepare to use firearms to capture the bear that has injured at least five in recent attacks

New footage from Sunday's bear attack in Liptovský Mikulá¿, Slovakia, shows the huge beast bounding through the streets

The bear left a 10-year-old girl and two other adults with scratches and bruises

Terrified residents filmed the animal running through the streets

The Slovakian town have now declared a state emergency as officials say: ‘We cannot allow a bear to attack five people in the centre in broad daylight’

But although the bear has left at least five with injuries, residents have begged officials to have mercy on the animal.

Taking to Facebook, one wrote: ‘This young bear, who accidentally entered the city, is terrified because it entered an unknown area….. definitely not going back to town after this experience….. no point in eliminating a young bear from its life….. let him live for him’.

Another said: ‘I cannot understand this, that a few hundred pound bear cannot be located, put to sleep and transported to the mountains within two hours. Terrible amateurism’.

One more added: ‘There is no reason to kill the bear! He has a right to live, there are other manners to ensure safety! Killers will pay for killing, you have to remember this rule’.

The latest bear attack on Sunday, which took place in the town left a 49-year-old woman with a shoulder injury and a 72-year-old man with a gash to his head.

A 10-year-old girl and two further adults suffered scratches and bruises, authorities said, while a couple pushing their child in a buggy were ‘lucky to escape unharmed’.

Residents were asked not to leave their homes, particularly in the early and late hours, as animal hunters arrived at the town to seek out the bear.

‘The bear has been pushed into uninhabited zones by rescue and security forces where emergency teams … have orders to eliminate it,’ the town hall said in a Facebook post.

‘Hunters will patrol in the at-risk area, police patrols have been strengthened and brown bear emergency teams from all over the country have been ordered to our city and surroundings. A thermal imaging drone is also being deployed.

‘We are a town between mountains, but still a town. We cannot allow a bear to attack five people in the centre in broad daylight.’

New footage of the bear shows it bounding through the streets of the Slovakian town before heading to a body of water to take a swim.

It comes just a day after a woman named Tatiana, 31, died after she and her friend were set upon by a brown bear in Slovakia. The woman, from Belarus, had been walking with a male companion in the Low Tatras mountain range on Friday evening when they were chased by the predator.

According to the male, 29, he and the woman darted off in different directions while in the depths of the thick forest.

The predator charged through the town's roads and at members of the public

A total of five have been reported injured so far

Sunday’s attacks come just days after a woman, 31, was chased by a bear and died in Slovakia. It remains  unclear whether the woman fell to her death while trying to escape or was killed by the bear

The bear was spotted making its way through the Slovakian town and later enjoying a dip in the water during its violent rampage

The bear was spotted making its way through the Slovakian town and later enjoying a dip in the water during its violent rampage

The woman’s body was discovered by the Slovak Mountain Rescue Service on Friday evening, as the bear lingered nearby.

Local reports stated the bear was soon frightened off by sounds of the gun shots made by the rescue team.

According to the BBC it was unclear whether the woman fell to her death while trying to escape or was killed by the bear.

The Slovak authorities reassured that if she was mauled to death by the brown bear, they will reveal that information publicly.

Bears are common across many parts of Eastern Europe including the areas surrounding the Carpathian mountains, which stretch from Romania to Poland and pass through Slovakia.

Researchers have estimated that there are around 1,275 bears living in Slovakia.

There have been several bear attacks in Slovakia in recent years, including a fatal attack in 2021 – reported at the time to be the first in Slovakia for a century.

The body of a 57-year-old man was found in Banskô Valley in the Liptov region on June 14.

He was found in the forests above the village of Liptovská Lúžna, with his head, hip and neck mauled.

There were fresh bear prints found at the site.

The Slovak environment ministry earlier this month published guidelines on the protective shooting of brown bears, allowing special teams to shoot any bear that presents a threat to humans.

Environment Minister Tomas Taraba on Friday blamed NGOs and the constitutional court for the death of the Belarusian woman chased off a cliff.

‘According to a constitutional court ruling, shooting bears on a large scale is not allowed. So I congratulate the constitutional court. I hope you are happy with your work, this is also your doing,’ he told reporters after the attack.

Also Friday, the ministry said it would, together with Romania, submit a proposal for the EU to reclassify the bear to a lower category of protected wildlife, which would allow more aggressive control of the bear population.

The Golden State Warriors open a three-game homestand with a matchup against the New York Knicks tonight. These squads last met at Madison Square Garden a couple of weeks ago, with the Dubs rolling to the 110-99 victory.

Tip-off is about to happen, at 10:00 p.m. ET, and will be televised nationally on ESPN. If you want to watch a live stream of the game, there are a number of different ways you can do that, including three free options.

The Best Way to Watch the Knicks vs Warriors Live Stream

    Sling

Sling TV isn’t one of those free options (you can find those just below this), but we’ll start here because it’s the cheapest way to watch the nationally televised NBA games throughout the rest of the season.

The “Sling Orange” channel plan comes with ESPN, TNT and ESPN3 (which simulcasts the games that are on ABC), while the “Sports Extra” add-on will get you NBA TV. Those four channels alone are good for about 15 NBA games per week, and it will run you only $51 per month. That’s far cheaper than any other streaming service with those channels, but you can also get it for just $31 (or $20 if you just get “Sling Orange”) for your first month, which is insane value.

Once you’ve signed up for Sling, you can watch a live stream of the Knicks vs Warriors on the Sling website or app. You can also watch on the ESPN website or app by signing in with your Sling credentials.

Is There a Free Knicks vs Warriors Live Stream?

FuboTV app icon on Apple TV.
    Phil Nickinson / Digital Trends

OK, you’re here for some free options. We’ve got plenty of those, as well:

Fubo: The “Pro” channel package will get you a massive 180-plus TV channels, which includes ESPN and ABC. This one will cost you $60 for your first month and then $80 per month after that, but it comes with a seven-day free trial if you just want to watch the Warriors vs Knicks without paying anything.

YouTube TV: The “Base Plan” comes with 100-plus channels, including ESPN, ABC and TNT. It’ll run you $64 per month for your first three months, and then $73 per month after that, but it comes with a five-day free trial.

DirecTV Stream: There are four different channel packages, but all of them include ESPN, ABC and TNT. The cheapest, “Entertainment,” is $80 per month for 75-plus total channels, but it comes with a five-day free trial.

Like with Sling, you can watch the game live on any of these services’ websites or apps, or you can log-in with your credentials to watch on the ESPN website or app.

How to Watch the Knicks vs Warriors Live Stream from Abroad

    NordVPN for Apple TV.
    Derek Malcolm / Digital Trends

If you want to watch the game via one the aforementioned streaming services from outside the United States, you’ll need a virtual private network (VPN). These sites will block you when they recognize you’re outside the US, but a VPN hides your location (via your IP address) and connects you digitally to a server in the US, allowing you to sidestep those blocks.

NordVPN has an astounding 2,000-plus servers in the United States alone (and more than 6,000 worldwide), so you can be confident you’ll find one that works with your intended streaming service. It’s also one of the fastest and most reliable VPN’s out there, plus it comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can sign up risk-free even though there isn’t a free trial.

For some more options, you can check out our lists of the best VPN services or best VPN deals.

Irish music mogul Louis Walsh came up in conversation as he nearly faced an eviction as one housemate tried to get him axed.

And it seems Jordan would have preferred that outcome, as he went on to give an expletive laden speech about how much he hates the former X Factor judge.

The hip hop singer hit out: “Listen I’ve been in the entertainment industry since I was 19 years old.

“He is everything I despise about the music industry in a f**king person.

“I under that it’s good television, I get that, but it doesn’t change that he is vile.”

Show host Will Best was quick to step in, joking: “You’ve got to say a different take on it I guess – you’re being triggered.”

Louis barely escaped elimination tonight after Big Brother told Fern Britton that if she placed a snake on the pillow of one co-star, they would be up for elimination.

She chose Louis – but it turned out she was tricked when a special St Paddy’s day twist to the task was revealed.

    Celebrity Big Brother: who’s left?

Who are the stars who have survived in the Celebrity Big Brother house? The Sun’s Jamie Downham takes a look…

    GOING STRONG

Louis Walsh – The boyband manager, who’s has never knowingly backed down from a fight, regularly trends for for his outrageous remarks

Fern Britton – The former This Morning star called out Phillip Schofield – but has seemed like a kind and gentle soul in the house

Colson Smith – You’ll probably know him best as Corrie’s Craig Tinker – but prepare to find out he’s not much like his character

David Potts – Ibiza Weekender’s breakout star has left that show behind – as well as his trousers by the look of things

Marisha Wallace – It’s not CBB without the role of ‘American who doesn’t know what they’ve let themselves in for’ and she’s doing brilliantly

Nikita Kuzmin – The Strictly pro is coming onto the show fresh off the show’s tour. Poor lad probably just wants a rest

Zeze Millz – the social media star has a “no holds barred interview style” – and she hasn’t backed away from calling people (well, Louis) out

Bradley Riches – The actor played kindly James McEwan in Netflix hit Heartstopper and he seems just as sweet in the house

    HEADED HOME

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu – After ruffling a few feathers and her spat with Marisha, this Love island star was sent packing

Levi Roots – The Reggae Reggae Sauce inventor time is up in the house and he was evited third

Sharon Osbourne – TV legend was a “house guest” on a megabucks deal and an ensuite bedroom, but disappeared after nine days

Lauren Simon – Real Housewives of Cheshire star was the second person to leave. The stars put her up for eviction and the public did the rest

Gary Goldsmith – Kate Middleton’s uncle was a big signing for ITV, but he was booted out first after failing to impress viewers

Once in the diary room Louis was instructed to look in a hatch in front of him to reveal his fate.

There he found a four leaf clover, which meant he would not be evicted, but instead won immunity from the next round of nominations.

This also means he is automatically through to Friday’s grand final.

This one is set to start in about one hour, at 3:30 p.m. ET, and will be televised on ABC in the United States. If you don’t have cable or you’re looking to finally cut the cable cord, there are a bunch of different ways you can watch a live stream of the game online.

The Best Way to Watch the Nuggets vs Mavericks Live Stream

    Sling

If you’re searching for free live stream options, we have three of those for you in the very next section. If you’re searching for the cheapest way to watch NBA games long-term, then Sling TV is exactly what you’re looking for.

The “Sling Orange” channel plan includes ESPN3 (which simulcasts NBA on ABC games, so you can watch the Nuggets vs Mavericks), ESPN, TNT and 30-plus total channels for just $40 per month. That makes it the least expensive streaming service with the channels needed to watch nationally televised NBA games, but it’s also on sale for just $20 for your first month.

Is There a Free Nuggets vs Mavericks Live Stream?

As we promised, there are three different ways you can watch the Nuggets vs Mavericks for free. The first is signing up for a free seven-day trial of Fubo, which lets you watch a live stream of ABC (in most markets) and 180-plus other channels. You can sign up, watch the game and then cancel without ever having to pay anything.

If you’ve already used your Fubo free trial, you can do the exact same process with YouTube TV or DirecTV Stream. Both include ABC (again, live in most markets) in their channel plans, and both come with a five-day free trial.

How to Watch the Nuggets vs Mavericks Live Stream from Abroad

Now, if you want to watch Sling, Fubo, YouTube TV or DirecTV Stream from outside of the United States, you’ll need a virtual private network (VPN) to do. These streaming services will block you when they recognize you’re not in the US, but a VPN hides your IP address/location and connects you to a server in the US, making it impossible for the streaming services to know where you’re actually located.

NordVPN tops our rankings of the best VPN services. It’s fast, reliable and has over 2,000 servers located in the United States alone. It will get you watching any of the aforementioned streaming services from abroad, but if you’re looking for other options, you can also check out our list of the best VPN deals.

Gen Z youths are bringing back tanning, much to the chagrin of older generations who learned too late of the damages inflicted by sun-beds, UV rays and tanning oils.

Despite the wealth of information available about the health risks of tanning, like premature ageing and skin cancer, the skincare obsessed generation is, ironically, flocking to tanning beds, The New York Post reports. This comes amid a revival of other Y2K trends – just look at cigarettes – reminiscent of the early aughts era of “Gym, Tan, Laundry” and heart-shaped “tan tattoos”.

According to recent data from the American Academy of Dermatology, 20 per cent of Gen Zers believe that being tanned is more important than protecting themselves from skin cancer, and 30 per cent admitted that they would rather look “great” today with a tan, “even if it means looking worse later in life”.

TikTok user Hollie Evelyn once said she would “rather die hot than live ugly”, a sentiment that is echoed by thousands on the platform who hawk tanning tips and tricks under the tag #sun-bed, while the tag #tanning has amassed over four billion views.

Twenty-six-year-old Holly Reardon, who said being tanned makes her feel thinner and prettier, has been inundated with tanning content on her social media feeds, telling The Washington Post that she “wouldn’t care” so much about looking sun-kissed if she “didn’t have social media”.

Sabrina, a 24-year-old New Yorker whose name was changed for anonymity, went in a tanning bed for the first time when she was just 16. She told Nylon that her mum insisted she needed a “base” tan to avoid a sunburn on their tropical vacation – a theory that has been debunked by experts. However, her habit continued in college, where her gym offered free tanning beds with a membership.

For Sabrina, being bronzed – which has long been regarded as a status symbol, linked to the privilege of poolside lounging, holidays and abundant wealth – is tied to beauty.

“If I’m feeling ugly, I will focus more on tanning because I just get more compliments when I’m tan,” she told Nylon.

“Obviously, I’m worried about the health risks, but I smoke cigarettes and I never wear sunscreen.”

Tanning – by either bed or beach – accelerates signs of ageing like wrinkles, spots and lack of elasticity and also increases the risk of skin cancer. Indoor tanning increases the risk of developing squamous cell carcinoma by 58 per cent and basal cell carcinoma by 24 per cent, and can cause melanoma – of which Australia has the highest rates in the world.

“There is no such thing as a healthy tan if your tan is from a tanning bed or exposure to the sun,” Texas-based dermatologist, Dr Jennifer Holman, told Yahoo News.

Unlike the heyday of bronzed complexions 20 years ago, there are more products than ever that provide the same sun-kissed glow without skin damage – no UV rays, no problem.

“Year after year, we continue to see so much innovation in self-tanning and bronzing products,” Penny Coy, an Ulta Beauty executive who works in merchandising, told The Washington Post.

While spray tans are one complexion-conscious option, mists, drops, powders, creams, mousses, oils and sprays – not to mention the mitts, brushes and applicators required to achieve a seamless, streakless glow – line the shelves at chemists, beauty stores and supermarkets for tan addicts to get their fix.

And yet, even with the cutting-edge products on the market, Gen Z still touts sun-beds despite their dangers – even associating tanning with an aesthetic of health.

“I feel like I look healthier, so that makes me happier,” Sara Shammout, a 23-year-old student and founder of the tan-accelerating cream brand Bronzed by Carrot, told The Washington Post.

Some people also believe that tanning booths offer more benefits than a bronze glow. When Kim Kardashian, for one, boasted about her in-office sun-bed in a widely-criticised video posted to social media, her fans speculated that it may be used to treat her psoriasis.

Experts, however, have debunked the belief that tanning beds can quell the symptoms of skin conditions, as it is not the same as medicinal light therapy used by clinicians due to the notable lack of UVB rays emissions, which are necessary for the body to make vitamin D and are more effective at treating certain conditions than the UVA rays in sun-beds.

Beauty writer and critic Jessica DeFino argues that social standards are forcing people to contort themselves for the sake of beauty, and place aesthetics over wellbeing by any means necessary. If they truly cared about leading a healthy lifestyle like their appearance would suggest, she said, they wouldn’t dare enter a tanning booth.

“Projecting the right image is more important to people than living the type of the life that that image suggests,” DeFino said.
