‘I was also not prepared to feel lost, utter confusion, deep sadness and intense fear.’

She continued: ‘The ‘best time of your life’ narrative surrounding new mothers became a fertile environment in feeling like I was a failure and not good enough because for me it didn’t feel that way.

‘Through months of rest, therapy and community, I was able to pull myself out of a black hole, I never imagined I’d find myself in.’

She has explained in the past that she and Sean take turns working away from home and are a ‘team’.

‘When he goes and films, I’m with the kids. When I go and film, he’s with the kids,’ she said.

‘And so they’re very used to being with both of us, it’s not one or the other.’
