Sipping a glass of bubbly close to the Thames and surrounded by luscious green lawns, it’s hard to believe you’re only 40 minutes from central London.

What is there to eat and drink at The Lensbury?

Eating at the Lounge Restaurant is a must.

The gastro-pub style food is exceptional, matched by attentive, friendly staff.

We tucked into rack of lamb and rib-eye steak and finished off with an Eton mess and tangy chocolate orange tart.

Luckily, we still had space for the delicious buffet breakfast in the morning.

There are 155 rooms in a range of styles – we stayed in a luxurious Deluxe Double.

Nice touches included a Nespresso coffee machine, fridge with complimentary still and sparkling water and good-quality bath robes.
