- Now the governing body are set to inform both managers of their punishments
Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte are set to discover their fates today after their touchline bust-up at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The rival managers were both red carded after the final whistle following their post-match handshake clash, charged by the FA with ‘improper’ behaviour and an independent commission will meet on Friday to determine what punishment they may face.
Their dismissals did not trigger any automatic sanctions with those to be decided by the panel though they could include touchline bans, fines or warnings.

Tottenham host Wolves tomorrow and Chelsea travel to Leeds on Sunday with any ban, should that be the panel’s verdict, impacting Conte and Tuchel’s involvement in this weekend’s fixtures.
Conte believes he should be allowed to lead his team against Wolves.
He said: ‘I hope so. I think that it’s right, it’s right to stay in my place.
‘For sure after this type of situation you can learn a lot but at the same time I think that for many situations I was really good to keep calm and don’t have an excessive reaction in the situation.’
He also argued the wording of FA charge indicated the flashpoint was ultimately not as big as it appeared.

Though some might argue it was, the FA’s charge made no reference to the incident being considered violent or aggressive, descriptions which would have been taken into account by the independent panel when reviewing the flashpoint.
Conte said: ‘I see that the FA made us, both coaches, more soft charge, no? And we have to accept. We have to accept and have respect for every decision.
‘I said this [soft charge] only to underline that the charge was soft. Maybe someone wants to try to create a massive problem or a massive clash with me and him and instead for the FA the charge was soft because it was soft, the situation.
‘Only to underline this because I have seen that someone tried to create a big clash between me and him and it wasn’t a big clash. A big clash is a big fight.
‘Sometimes this type of situation can happen. It’s not the first time, it won’t be the last time that two coaches are not in the right way or do not agree. But the most important thing is we have to move on, to have respect for each other. And for me, the situation finishes there.’
Both managers are now facing potential touchline bans ahead of their fixtures this weekend
