Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson was back at the team’s facilities doing drills just weeks after being shot.
The rookie suffered two gun shot wounds in his leg and hip during a botched carjacking in the District of Columbia on August 28.
Yet just under three weeks since the incident, Robinson, 23, is already bouncing back.
He posted a video of him running ladder agility drills and riding a stationary bike to his Instagram story on Thursday.
Thursday’s encouraging update comes just two weeks after Robinson landed on the reserve/non-injury list.
He will not be eligible to be activated until Week 5 but the Commanders remain positive over his progress and hope he will return then, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

‘It was good to see him out there. He is progressing very well,’ Rivera said. ‘Each week he gets to see the doctors and the trainers. They felt now is a good time to see how he does outside.’
Robinson was shot when two armed suspects – likely teenagers – tried to steal his car as he was leaving a seafood restaurant. Robinson reportedly wrestled a gun away from one carjacker but was shot in the lower leg and hip by the second.
On Instagram, Robinson revealed that ‘surgery went well,’ and showed up at the Commanders’ practice facilities on August 30 after being released from the hospital the same day.
The third-round pick’s absence complicated the Commanders’ backfield situation. Veterans Antonio Gibson and JD McKissic remain on the team, but Robinson was expected to contribute as part of a committee.
